FIRST STEP: ACCEPT CHRIST

If you stand still you will never go anywhere. The walk of a Christian is life-long journey. God never intended you to take that path alone. We invite you to take your FIRST STEPS with us here at Love Church.

Take these First Steps in your relationship with God and others:

1. The VERY, FIRST STEP on your faith pathway should be a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You have to start here. You really can't take any other steps toward God without taking this Very, First Step. The Bible says in Acts 4:12, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."

Jesus loves you and died for you, taking on himself the punishment or penalty for your sins. While everyone has made the choice to sin, Jesus came to save us from our sins and to give us life- abundantly and eternally! If you are ready to take this Very, First Step, follow this link: NEED HIM. This off-site web address will take you through the process of understanding what this Very, First Step involves.

How do I become a follower of Jesus Christ?

It's as simple as ABC. Take these actions with sincerity in your heart.

Admit that I am a sinner.

Bible references: Isaiah 53:6; Luke 13:3; Romans 3:23; I John 1:8

Believe in Jesus and what He did for me.

Bible references: Mark 1:15; John 1:12; Acts 16:31

Confess (tell others) that He is Lord of my life.

Bible references: I Corinthians 12:3; Romans 10:9-10

Read this amazing scripture passage...
"For it is by free grace (God's unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ's salvation) through [your] faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [of your own doing, it came not through your own striving], but it is the gift of God; Not because of works [not the fulfillment of the Law's demands], lest any man should boast. [It is not the result of what anyone can possibly do, so no one can pride himself in it or take glory to himself.] For we are God's [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]." Ephesians 2:8-10 Amplified Version

Pray this prayer

 from your heart…

“Heavenly Father, I confess my sins. I am sorry for breaking your commands. I realize that I am a sinner. I also accept and choose to believe that your Son, Jesus Christ died for my sins. The blood of His sacrifice  for me and the whole world paid the penalty for my sins. I believe you accepted that holy sacrifice when you raised Jesus from the dead. Please forgive me God of all of my sins because of that sacrifice. I now accept your forgiveness even though I don’t deserve it. I receive it by faith. Please write my name in the Lamb’s Book of Life so when I die I will gain entrance to Heaven. Not by my goodness but by faith in the One who was good FOR me.”

“Lord Jesus, my Savior, come into my life now with your Holy Spirit. Cleanse me, change me, transform me, heal me, immerse me, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. I receive your grace. I receive your life. I receive your Spirit. I receive Eternal Life. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.”
