Bishop Jim & Pastor Joan Pierce

Hi, I'm Jim Pierce--and the beautiful person by my side in this picture is my wife, Joan. We have been the shepherds of this church family since 1981. I am originally from the Elmira/Horseheads area while Joan was originally a Buffalo gal. We found each other when we both were 19 years old. We each were looking for someone who "loved Jesus more than we did." I won that contest!

We answered the call of God together right out of high school.and were joined together in our marriage covenant in July of 1977. We have six adult children and nine grandchildren. A number of our children serve with us in ministry at The Love Church.

Pastor Jim Stearns

A pillar here since the '90's, this much-loved man is a fixture of The Love Church leadership team. He and his wife, Linda, live in the Pine City area trying to keep up with the active schedules of the seven children God has blessed them with. Both Jim and Linda attended Love Aflame! Worldwide Bible Institute (originally called Elmira Institute of the Bible) in the mid-eighties when they first came to the area. They were married at The Love Church in 1988. He is a project manager in the field of aviation manufacturing.
